Of Lady Lilith

Title: Lady Lilith
Area: Families

Bio Info:

I have no memories of my life before the embrace. I can only assume that I lived a life that I just do not want to remember. The only memories I have are of my life as a Ventrue. And I am quite happy with those memories.

I know that I was found outside of a hotel owned by my sire. My first memory is of waking up in a beatiful canopy bed, curtained with the most exquisite black lace I had ever seen. Beyond the lace, I could make out the shapes associated with a hotel room. And I could see a figure standing in the window, looking out over the city below.

That is when my life began. I will not go into great detail of my embrace, nor of my sire, for that is of a very personal nature to me. He was, in all sense of the word, my father, and his memory is precious to me. I do not tell the story of my life with him for fear I confuse the details and never manage to get them straight again.

Since I had no memories, I had no name. I had nothing on my person that in any way told who I was or where I was from. So, in his infanite wisdom, Father bestowed upon me the name of Lilith. She who gave the Gift to Caine. He told me I reminded him of her. He had the pleasure of meeting her at one time in his lifetime, and he told me I reminded him of her. So he gave me the greatest gift he could. Her name, and the knowledge of who she was. It was always his hope that I should meet her and learn from her someday

My father was the Prince of the city. And from the very day I was able to comprehend who and what I was, he began my training. I had thought it was just the normal teachings that all newly awakened children get, but he had other plans in mind. Knowing that there were many in the city who belived that another clan could serve as a better Prince (mostly becuase they wanted someone of their own clan in power), Father had to watch every move he made. Killing another Kindred is punishable by death, but someone found a way around it.

There have been hunters for as long as there have been Kindred, and to kill a Prince is the ultimate glory for such a creature. With help from some of the seedier members of the clan, Father was taken from me as he walked through the city one summer's night.

It was a terrible time in my life. I had just lost the only family I had ever known, and to make matters worse, there was threat of a war between the clans over who was to be the next Prince. That was when I found out that all my training had been for that day. Father had prepared for this day.

There are those in every city who are responsible for upkeeping the laws set down by the Camarilla and by the Prince. While the clans do not accept them into the society, they never question their authority. At one of the clan gatherings, when the fighting had become almost unbearable, one of them stepped forward, and with a mighty bellow, silenced the crowd. It was at this time that he produced a document, drawn up by my father, stating that I had been trained from my awakening to be the Prince if anything should happen to himp
