Aguas Bravas stands proudly among the wide lands of Sevilla, the ancient house screening day after day against the scorching andalusian sun.Its lands spreading out in the rich dark greeness of its olive trees and graced with the presence and elegant stride of its steeds.

 

 

Don Francisco Vives de Marco

Deceased. Former master of Aguas Bravas. Beloved husband of Doņa Soledad de Arcos and father to the three de Marco brothers. A great lover of horses, he created and ran his own stables throughout his life, along with the extensive olive plantation his father had left him and a vineyard of several leagues with its distillery and cellar.

Doņa Soledad de Arcos

The faithful widow of  Don Francisco and loving mother to the three de Marco brothers. She is the eldest among the house of de Arcos and the sole matriach over the de Marco family. Being the head of this house, she runs most of the matters within it, though throughout the years, the duties have been delivered to her sons and some trustworthy servants.

A venerable, highly religious and generous lady, she is devoted to her three sons, upon which she sheds the whole of her attention and care. Nevertheless, she is severe and strong of will, watching over so that her rules are to be well known and respected.

Don Fernando de Marco

Eldest son of Don Francisco and Doņa Soledad and the present landlord of Aguas Bravas. He has particular interest upon the olive grove and vineyard, leaving most of the patronage over the stables to his brother, and keepting to himself only the care and command of Argentino.  The recently widowed husband of Doņa Blanca María, who he lost along with their unborn child to the plague,while she was helping the nuns from the convent of Nuestra Seņora attend the sick of the epidemy.

Highly educated in literature as well as the major sciences; he is courteous of demeanor, essencially generous and benevolent. Usually silent and serene, words are usually replaced by a candid smile.

The second son of Don Francisco and Doņa Soledad, he is the primal master of the stables and responsible for the breeding and welfare of the andalusian and few arabian steeds the family owns. His interest has led him to adquire several bulls along with cattle to begin a breeding yard for these animals. Quick and drastic of temper, he is the most passionate and rough among the brothers, making him superbly efficient in the duties of the savannah and its cattle, as well as a fearful landlord.

Young Don Juan is the youngest among the three, his particular likings not close to neither the land and its crops nor the breeding of animals, he bestowes his attention upon his own training. Though all three of them are familiar and well trained in the art of swordfighting, it is he who is perphaps the most dedicated among them in both, the sword and the whip. Having no defined duties within the hacienda, he invest his time reading, as well as exploring the nearby lands in solitude.

The niece of Doņa Soledad. She is the daughter of Don Tomás de Arcos, the younger brother of the de Marco's house matriarch. She moves in from Toledo, her homeland as well as that of Doņa Soledad, to keep company for her aunt and leave the courtly toledan life behind for now. Strikingly strong of will and character, she is seldom satisfied nor content with anything besides her loyal black andalusian, Bandolero.

Like all ladies of her lineage, she is well versed in classical literature, music and arts, as well as other proper skills like embroidery and such; though her nature keeps her outdoors for as much time as she can take.
