Title: Platemail's Bio Part 2
Area: Characters

Bio Info:

It was after a few weeks of wandering that mountains that Platemail found a village of dwarves. He spoke elven very well, which made the dwarves suspisious. But they agreed to let him work the stables of the only inn in town. Many weeks were spent there, him just barely making enough to feed himself when he caught the attention of Hriekal, the towns armoursmith. Platemail who was about 15 now, had started making horse shoes in the inn's stables for the horses. What the twon couldn't figure out was how he had learned to do it, truth be known he didn't know. They were poorly made, but a good effort nonetheless. So Hriekal took an apprentice in the human lad, a first for that village and began teaching him. Platemail learned fast, and through cosntant working and teaching, became a master in his own right. he spent 2 hqappy years in the village learning from Hriekal before graduating. He was then given the name of Platemail, becuase that was what he was the best at making. He was then asked to leave the village. One armoursmith was enough, besides the lad should spend some time with his human relatives. So Platemail left with his first chestplate on, and headed down the mountains.

It wasn't long after that he had set up shop in a small town of humans, making extrodinary weapons and armour for the humans. He had obviously been taught by a dwarf, his skills were expert. It was by that renown that he had attracked the attentions of a local wizard, who immediately demanded that he apprentice with him as a mage. Platemail knew that he had no patience for magic, and would refuse each time till finally the wizard hit home. The lad could make three times the money if he could enchant his wares, magic armour going for thousands of gold pieces more than regular. So Platemail spent the next year and half learning the magics trade from the wizard. He then bid adieu to his wizard teacher, and then began to head north.

Many many weeks later he reached the realm of ravensdale, and found an inn where many many strange people gathered each night. It was called vampyres and during the course of the next year he would go through many changes, having a case of lycanthropy where he could turn into a garagoyle and eventually turn into a bone dragon. It was by the efforts of many people in the vampyre room that he was cured of the lycanthropy, and returned to his roots as a magician. He used a variety of magics while he learned and played in the room. It was tehre that he learned how to speak the variety of demon and foriegn languages. He was a paladin for a short while, but was cast out when it was discovered when he was in love with a vampyress. They excommunicated him from the church, and he gladly didn't care because he was in love. Many days later he was almost killed by her as she wanted to feed and was just stringing him along. He escaped and kept a wary eye on her until she finally disappeared.

It was at the end of that eventful and fateful year that a vampyre lord named Arakis stole his image and committed heinous acts against his friends. He returned to find out he was hated and loathed by his former friends, and was asked to leave. He did so with a heavy heart leaving his armour behind and undergoing a spiritual journey. Many months he spent in the woods of the relam of ravensdale, where he chance encountered a tiger being attacked by wraiths. He defended the tiger, who immediately rewarded him by merging with him. The tiger gave Platemail an understanding of all animal languages, as well as giving him new abilities. He returned to the realm and the vampyres room a new man, but still extremely depressed at the actions of him and the vampyre Arakis. During the course of taht year he redeemeed himself in the eyes of his friends. And another summer was spent in seclusion and meditation, where he became a vampyre once again. It was in a frenzied bloodlust he realized he could not live as a vampyre when he underwent another journey.

He reached a small monatery in the south polar region of the world, where a cure for vampyrism could be obtained. Thirteen vials of a strange magicla liquid would cure him of the disease, but it had a serious side effect. It would strip him of all his magical abilities, and half of his soul to contain the evil. The resulting effects that were that each day he would lose a little of his soul, so that each time he ever attempted anything beyond a normal life, it would cost him more of his soul and cause him to have less life remaining. He returned to ravensdale where he first entered the Rivindell inn, and began to learn new techniques and powers while he lived at his home called Tigers den. It was when he had relearned how to work his powers that he realized that his soul would actually recharge when he used his tiger form. He spent many days in tiger form and would be able to extend his life while he used his powers.

He left tiger's den because that place reeked of sadness and that's when he built his camp in the fangstone mountains. he then finally felt at home, working his forge and serving in a variety of mercinary troops in operation throughout the realm. He spent many happy months doing that, until he met his would be wife. He courted a woman named Ti'lee, and after a long engagement married her in a small ceremony in a small chapel. He soon after became a captain for a privateer navy, and found the reamins of a ship called the crystal cutter. It was when he touched the dismembered planks he remembered the blue glow from so long ago.

The blue glow was actually a ship that had teleported him to its decks. The ship was magical through and through, but the magic had grown sentience. It sought him out becuase he had abilities and the persona nexessary to provide the ship with amusement, it was when the ship lost its magic it crashed and splintered into a reck near where the young platemail would wake up. Platemail gathered the wreck and over the course of the next few months rebuilt the ship, which had brought him here and to his freedom. the magics were still strong, and he enchanted it so that it could be able to fly.

It was several days later when he became a guard for the realm of Ravensdale, and swore allegiance to the lord. He served tirelessly, doing any and everything the lord wanted him to do. Those happy days lasted for a long time till his wife's disappearance, and the trickery of Phyrix an undead dragon lich. The dragon tricked Platemail into serving him when he used an animation of Ti'lee. Plate served the dragon unwillingly until his wife returned and set his mind free. Plate served as a guard still for many more months when his wife disappeared again and this time he found out from her sister that she had died. The sister tried to kill herself, but Platemail was able to stop her by blanking her memory and setting her loose in a new realm to live when he flew her there with his magical flying ship.

Nobody knew but with his wife's disappareance and death, he became very evil. He never showed it but had even harboured thoughts of killing everyone who ever gave him trouble or his friends trouble. It was the reappearance of his wife, who gave him a solemn choice. She could return to him as pertained in a deal that she had made with her gods, or she could stay dead. Platemail chose for her to come back, which made him realize he couldn't affect death, but after a couple of months of bliss and terrible fights the sitauation was finally fixed. She accepted his life as a guard, and he accepeted her life in her clan in the other realm.

It was 2 months later when a gorup of undead soliders destroyed his camp in the mountains. He had pissed off a local demon who sent his millitia to teach the guard a lesson. He escaped with some of his things and his ship to set up a new home far far away from the camp so that both he and his wife would be safe, but still close enough so that he could serve the realm. It was after a few weeks that the faithful guard quit the realm, and went into the desert to seek spiritual purpose and guidance. He returned a week later dressed in his new white amrour, able to turn into a snow eagle, and apparently a paladin for four very powerful gods. His new role would remain unlcear for those present for a while.

Long history huh? You asked for it. The events during the last spiritual quest is the Epic I wrote for platemail. That will be added to the Riv Library soon.
