Title: Kain Bladewright
Area: Characters
Bio Info:
The following is a documentation on Kain
Bladewright:
At the time of birth, he was given his
christened name, Kainnazzo Netac Bladewright. His
best friend was christened Christian DeTray. They
grew up together in the village of Lachen, a small
farming society. He was apprenticed to a
blacksmith, and so was his friend Christian. The
two spent most of there time together, Even though
Christian was a full two years younger than him.
The life they had was a good one at the time,
but that came to an end. when Kain was fourteen,
his village was razed to the ground by the
invading armies of the Saren empire. As a cruel
joke, the invaders decided to bind the men, rape
and kill their women, then slaughter them too.
They left the children alive in the dead of winter
as the final twist of the knife.
While the other children cried for their parents, Kain and Christian Set off, deciding they didn't want to freeze and starve. Obviously, the other children died. As they travelled on their way, they eventually ran acrossed a city, where they met the hand of fate, so to speak. They were starving and broke, standing outside of a bar when they were noticed by a strange man. He approached them, then asked if they would be interested in retrieving some items from one of his adversaries. Of course, they really had no choice if they wanted to keep from starving, so they took the man's job.
This is what began their life in the business of supplying the black market. The man repeatedly hired them, seeing that they did good work. Soon, others noticed their talent for theft and began hiring them. In no time they had become fairly well known in the underworld. Soon, they had enough commission money that they didn't need the job. But, they decided that it was an interesting thing to be doing. They hadn't hurt or killed anyone. So, they began flaunting their weaponskills, trying to impress others even moreso with their skill. This lead to the eventual crawling through caverns and dungeons for valuable items.
After they started taking thieving jobs again after a brief break, where all they did was loot ruins, they had become more used to seeing blood through their work, though as of yet, it was only monsters. But, while trying to bully a guard, he didn't listen and attacked them. They were forced to kill him. They tried pretending it didn't happen, but soon, dead bodies became more frequent. Kain and Christian began arguing if they should just stick to ruins, which was Kain's idea, or still do both, as Christian suggested.
During the argument, they had decided to search a frozen glacier in a ravine up north. The weather turned bad. Christian urged to go back, but Kain refused. As he went deeper into the ravine, he saw a man frozen in the ice. He began cracking at it, soon freeing the man. Christian rounded the last corner to see the man reanimate, grab Kain, turn him into a demon, then disappear.
Christian blamed himself for Kain's disappearance, thinking if he would have been quicker... But, he soon found out it wouldn't matter. He was researching the man, and found his name to be Fallen Hope, a creature of the ancient ulterans. A superior being... Christian would have been killed. He strove to find a way for the creature to be destroyed. His hopes fell on a knife that assimilated other magical items into itself. It was the only way he could see.
